There are two main types of solar for residential installations. The first and most common system connects your solar panel installation with the main electricity grid. This Grid Connect system allows you to feed energy back into the grid through your meter, and be financially rewarded for it by your energy company.
The other is a ‘Stand-Alone’ solar power system for remote properties. Often the cost of connecting the solar panel installation to the main grid is prohibitive. The system charges a battery bank, which in turn is used to power a house. A generator is usually kept available to back up the battery system.
Carbo Solar is an Adelaide based designer, supplier and installer of both grid connect and stand-alone power systems. Your solar system will be installed by QUALIFIED and fully licensed electrical tradesmen. Solar Panel Accredited Design & Installation Lic: A9764309. Electrical Contractors Lic: PGE230918.
Benefits of a grid connected solar panel system:
The Clean Energy Council note that one megawatt hour of solar produced energy avoids the production of approximately one ton of carbon dioxide.
There are obvious long term financial benefits for installing solar systems. Benefits for installing solar systems, but not limited to this are the contribution to reducing climate change and contributing to the care of our environment.
Any size solar panel system will produce notable savings, however this is proportional. The larger the system the greater the saving.
e.g. a 10kw system will produce ten (10) times the output of a 1 kw system.
